USB upgrade!
No, the good old RS232 is not at all outdated (despite the fact, that newer notebooks no longer have one). For single board computers it is a must, and is in no way to be replaced.
But perhaps your project does require USB? Because of the simple cabling, for example, or because there is no other interface available, or simply due to a "modern" design...
Perhaps large amounts of data are to be transferred and the RS232 interface is too slow?Exactly for these purposes the TLXusb was developed.
On the one hand it is intended to be used during program development.
Growing program sizes result in also growing frustration waiting for the download to complete. The TLXusb increases download speed drastically, thus not only immediately improving productivity, but also the developer's humour...On the other hand it provides a fast and uncomplicated way for an application to "upgrade" to USB, when needed.
