RS485 Interface Module

Most of our single board computers have one or more IF connectors. For the wiring of the IF connector see table below.

With the IF-Modules IF485LC and IF485OC single board computers may be connected point-to-point or or in a bus-like fashion according to the RS422 or RS485 standard. Full or halfduplex mode is selectable with a jumper. The design of the IF485LC module is low-price trimmed. The IF485OC module is developed for applications requiring galvanic separation.

According to the RS422/RS485 specifications, connections can be up to 1200m in length with transmission rates up to 1MBaud. For details see the RS422 and RS485 specifications.
